Two books you cannot miss if you want to survive among teenagers.

Nando López, 'Manual (gamberro)' series

Today (yes, I know it's still October the 12th, sorry about that) I was writing a letter to Santa and ask for the book '¡En casa me lo sabía! Manual (gamberro) para sobrevivir a los exámenes' by Nando López, a Spanish writer and secondary teacher that is very active on social media, who for several years now goes from school to school presenting his books to teens.

This is the second part of a series. The first book is called 'Dilo en voz alta y nos reímos todos. Manual (gamberro) de supervivencia en secundaria'. Whether you are a teacher or a student I have no doubts that you will see yourself represented in these two books.

They are written under his view as a teacher, with sense of humor, comparing the Spanish educational system to Finland. It also gives examples of different kind of students and different ways of teaching.

As I said before, Nando is an activist on Twitter, and when he was teaching at high schools as a Spanish teacher, he always tried to be inclusive, so he would write sentences in the board that students had to analyze, such as "Mary and Vicky got engaged last year". This is one of the parts I like more about his books, he shows you that as a teacher you can teach more than just a subject.

It's light reading and very fun, if you want my advice, you have to read it!!
